Why It Makes Things Worse:
Every time fabric rubs against your skin - from tight underwear, workout clothes, or even just walking - your body interprets this as micro-trauma. In response, it produces more melanin as a protective mechanism. This is called friction melanosis, and it's the #1 reason dark intimate areas progressively darken over time.
The groin, inner thighs, and buttocks experience constant friction throughout the day. Tight jeans, synthetic underwear, and high-intensity workouts all compound the problem. The more friction, the darker these areas become.
The Fix:
- Switch to loose, breathable cotton underwear - Reduces constant rubbing
- Use anti-chafing products during workouts - Prevents friction during exercise
- Apply brightening soap daily - TryBloom's formula with Kojic Acid inhibits melanin production while you address the friction source
- Avoid tight clothing in problem areas when possible
The key is addressing BOTH the friction (to stop new darkening) and the existing pigmentation (with brightening ingredients). Doing just one won't solve the problem.
